MEG PRIESTLEY
Fine Artist

Home: Welcome
Hi Hi Hi
My name is Megan Priestley, I am an abstract painter, taking inspiration from the beach in Marske by the Sea, North Yorkshire, where I live. I am interested in colour vibrancy and the relationship between colour and coloured forms within a space to create 3-dimensional paintings which explore spatial illusion within the composition. My paintings are ambiguous and try to engage the audience in an open interpretation.
I work part-time as a Dementia support worker. I am passionate about the importance of Art therapy for people living with dementia.
I graduated (2018) with a Fine Art Master’s degree from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), UK. I studied at the University of Chichester for a Fine Art BA degree (graduated in 2017) and before that a Foundation degree at The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Farnham.
