I use Royal Mail signed for 2nd class for all deliveries within the UK which takes between 2-3 working days. For deliveries overseas, outside the UK expect a considerable increase at the checkout, unfortunately, this is out of my control. I want to make sure the delivery is protected, tracked, and signed for to ensure the safety of the artwork delivered, even outside of the UK.
I post overseas with a regulated worldwide delivery service such as DHL tracking service or Parcel Force, (dependent on time efficiency and the total painting (s) value).
To track DHL visit their website at https://parcel.dhl.co.uk/#track-a-parcel
To track Parcel Force visit their website at https://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace
Any custom fees are out of my control, the receiver is responsible for paying the fee.
All items will be sent with a tracking number and will require a signature of arrival.
I will send you the tracking number and confirmation of delivery via email once it's been dropped off at the post office or picked up by the courier.
For deliveries within the UK, you can track your order via the Royal Mail app or at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
If you have purchased a painting or drawing on paper without a frame I will post it in a supportive envelope and label it fragile. If you have bought it in a frame I wrap it in bubble wrap and cardboard to reduce the risk of damage. I am not responsible for any damage that comes to your order whilst en route to you. Contact me at megpriestleystudio@gmail.co.uk if you have any questions and I will try my best to resolve the issue.
If you have purchased a stretched canvas 50cm on the longest side or below I will post it wrapped in bubble wrap and other layers to help protect the work and in a cardboard box labeled fragile. If you have purchased a piece of work larger than 50cm on the longest edge then I will collapse the stretcher frame and post with the painting which will be rolled up and wrapped up. You will then need to reassemble the frame yourself or take it to a framer who can assist you with this. For larger pieces of work, it is safer to collapse the painting to prevent the canvas from being damaged on delivery.
If you have purchased a smaller canvas that will remain stretched and arrives with any dents or bumps in the canvas, I advise you to wet the back of the canvas with water, use a sponge, and wipe the entire back until it feels wet. When the canvas dries it will stretch and flatten any bumps which may have occurred during delivery. Bumps and dents will only appear if something has been leaning on the canvas for a long duration. However, I will post the work in bubble wrap to help prevent this from happening.
If you have selected to deliver anywhere other than the UK there is a postage charge to cover the costs. This is dependent on the weight of the work you’ve purchased and will be calculated at checkout. Postage to the UK has a flat rate of £2.00.
